About Marty

“I have come to understand the divisiveness (and needless-to-say costs) often associated with the existing 'family law model' ”.

Marty Klein practiced family law throughout the GTA for over three decades. He retired from practice in November 2020 and continues to provide family dispute resolution services. His real passion has always been in keeping people, parents and especially their children, out of court.

Marty is a Certified Specialist in Family Mediation (FDRP Med) and Family Arbitration (FDRP Arb) and Qualified Family Arbitration Screener (QFAS), with the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (FDRIO). As well, he is an Accredited Mediator (AccFM) with the Ontario Association of Family Mediation (OAFM).

For several years, Marty was a Deputy Judge in the Small Claims Court and sat as a Dispute Resolution Officer (DRO) in the Superior Court of Justice at Brampton.

Two recent highlights of his career took place: In 2020, when he was honoured to be the recipient of Peel Law Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award and in 2021, he received the President’s Award by the Ontario Deputy Judges Association.
