About Marty

“I have come to understand the divisiveness (and needless-to-say costs) often associated with the existing “family law model”.

Marty restricted his practice to family law throughout the GTA for over three decades. Four years ago, he had a paradigm shift in his life, choosing his real passion, in keeping people, parents and especially their children out of court. Marty has come to understand the potential divisiveness (and needless-to-say costs) often associated with the “law model.”

Marty is a Certified Specialist in Family Mediation (FDRP Med), Family Arbitration (FDRP Arb) and Qualified Family Arbitration Screener (QFAS) with FDRIO (Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario). He is an Accredited Mediator (AccFM) with OAFM (Ontario Association of Family Mediation). As well, Marty was trained in the Collaborative Process and in Parental Coordination.

For some sixteen years, Marty presided once or twice a week as a Deputy Judge in the Small Claims Court. He was also appointed as a Dispute Resolution Officer (DRO) in the Superior Court of Justice in Brampton.

Marty has always tended to keep himself involved in numerous committees and community agencies, having been on the Boards of PCHS (Punjabi Community Health Services) and the Ontario Deputy Judges Association (ODJA).

Marty is passionate about building lasting, trust relationships with clients, through competent and caring services. We know that good working relationships can only make it easier to cope with the emotional strain of family law issues. Being fair and “up front” with our clients, right from the initial interview, clients are presented with the opportunity to understand and chose the family dispute resolution process that best meets their needs. Although our clients’ interests are always paramount, we choose at all times to act in an ethical and fair manner with both sides of a case.

Above all else… is Marty’s relentless commitment to “fairness” and pursuit of “no-court” resolution of conflict.
